FAQ – Isn’t it my personal choice what I eat?

vegan FAQ

First of all, nobody can’t and won’t force you into anything you don’t want to. Once you are a grown up, you are able to make your own choices. But with this ability there also comes responsibility along the way.

It sure as hell is your own personal choice to choose which foods to put into your body – as far as it concerns your health. But besides your health, the diet choices you make affect the environment, other people as well as innocent breathing creatures that have feelings just like you and I, with a desire to live.

Often non-vegans argue that they believe in freedom and at least should be able to eat what they want. But if they do believe in freedom, what about the freedom of the animals they eat?

In the end you can do and eat whatever you want. But please, the next time you swallow a piece of meat, egg or dairy product, ask yourself if this short moment of taste was worth all the pain, suffering and consequences.

I just want this to be very clear: I do not want to attack anybody personally with any of my blog posts. My intentions simply reside in educating and opening eyes to what really is going on. I wish I stumbled over stuff like this years ago and changed my diet earlier, so I’m simply trying to do my best in providing such for others.
