The 2nd city we visited this day was a place called Carpentras. Right outside the main and historical city Centre are lots of free parking spots. The car left there, we made our way towards its core! At the northern point of the city is a very impressive gateway into the part that only allows people by feet.
From there we walked through a very old covered passage named passage bojer. The shops within are not very special but a walk through the passage certainly is 🙂
The heart of Carpentras consists of small really cute streets with colorful houses. Lots of restaurants and cafes invite for a coffee among a beautiful atmosphere.
One of the sights is the cathedral Paroisse Saint Siffrein – such an imposant building right in between all of the tiny streets.
With all the flowers and beautiful facade, one of the most beautiful houses within the city is the city hall called Hotel de Ville de Carpentras.
At the southern end there is an information tourism – which probably makes sense to visit first 😉
All throughout the city were hanging art posters- such an unique and cute way to decorate one’s town.
